• Directions to the Brower Center can be found here 
• You do *not* need to print out your registration confirmation.  We know who you are.
• We would love it if you brought your own coffee cup and water bottle.  Less landfill would be nice.
• We'll be blogging and tweeting during the Gathering, using the hashtag #OSCsocialmedia.  Tweet along and tell your colleagues they can watch from the office.

Status Updates, Hashtags, Blogs and other Internet Doohickies
Join us for a fully wired and completely plugged-in conversation about social media.  Land conservation and environmental organizations are using the internet to engage with people, build movements, tell their stories, and achieve their mission.  How can we all use these tools in our work to preserve land and connect people to it?  What are the strategies we should all have in mind?  What is possible?

Our Almost-Spring Gathering will be held on March 15 from 10am-1pm at the Brower Center in downtown Berkeley.  Our panel will include:

• Lance Knobel from Berkeleyside will talk about social media and journalism, and will also moderate the panel
• Kathryn Krischer from Goodby Silverstein and Partners and Garrison Frost from California Audubon will share their innovative initiative: Birding the Net
• Veda Banerjee and Mike Hsu from the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy will talk about the whole communications package
• Scott Loarie from iNaturalist and Lisa Micheli Pepperwood Preserve will talk about citizen science and its links to social media

Lunch will be served, tweeting will be encouraged, and there will be plenty of time of networking.
